    My car

Drove one of these on Monday, built at the Slovakian factory and I liked it. Slovakian produced Sportages come with a 7year warranty as per the Kia Ceed.

There is also to be a two wheel drive automatic as well, so if they come up with a 4*4 road tax at the next budget they cannot hit this one hopefully.

Can someone tell me with the 4 wheel drive 138 bhp diesel what they are getting to the gallon, Thanks

    My car

We have had the car for 2 months now and have no problems with it at all.

We had to change from a Renault Laguna as we have changed our caravan to a heavier one.

For those of you who are looking at a tow car this pulls like a steam train and just keeps on going.

I also looked at Freelanders, X-Trail's and the Tucson, but chose the Kia as I was getting a better deal.

And it was far cheaper than the Freelander and X-Trail, so it was a toss up between the Kia and the Tucson but I got a better deal with the Kia dealer.

    My car

I live at 5,000 ft in the Pyrenees and needed a rugged 4X4 for every day snow and ice. Even in standard drive this automatic Sportage is excellent and go anywhere in lock mode.Very quiet and refined for a deisel on long motorway trips. In particular the leather seats are a luxury for the bad of back! Complaints ? Yes, this has to be the worst automatic gearbox in the world when used in slow traffic and about town - bordering on the dangerous in its hesitation and slow pickup. Choose the manual. Just completed 35,000k without touching anything, economical and does just what it says on the box but I'm changing this for a manual model next month.

    My car

Spooky. As the owner of an MG ZT T 190 and a previous owner of Saabs, I get a strange deja vu feeling).

Anyway, I would echo all the positive statements. I had the XS diesel for two months and am seriously impressed. You can buy these new from £14,790 which is amazing value.

I swithered, but finally went for contract hire at £238 per month (3 + 23, 12k pa). The car drives well, looks well, is extremely comfortable and roomy.

The boot could perhaps do with a couple more inches of depth but it's a minor quibble. Oh, and cup holders up near the dash would be good, as would steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

Our other car is a Mercedes SLK, but now my wife and I fight for the keys of the Kia. If that's not a ringing endorsement I don't know what is.
