Solid build quality, clever seven seat arrangement. Good levels of equipment but price reflects the vast improvement in design and materials.
Smooth power delivery puts most diesel rivals to shame. The Land Rover badge is increasingly perceived as a prestige marque and this car justifies the brand's burgeoning reputation.
Bravo, Land Rover, you truly have the class leader!
An excellent piece of kit. Yes, I know it is not that eco friendly in some ways but at least I can take seven of my family and friends to a rugby match in one vehicle and not use two.
The driving position is commanding and, with such a small turning circle, it beats the socks off our previous Freelander for parking.
The kit is tremendous, the leather seats are superb and it really is like taking the lounge for a drive.
And the cool box is 'cool'.
Spot on!
I have now owned my Disco for 2 1/2 years & covered 62,000 miles. I am now on first name terms with most of the staff at the dealers (Roger Young) who have been very helpful with the numerous problems my car has experienced. Problems to date: 2 suspension failures, tailgate gas strut breaking off, rear door locking mechanism breaking, coolant header tank leaking, defective horn, steering rack worn, door trim problems, electric seats developing a mind of their own whilst on the move, passenger seatbelt warning alarm faulty, mirrors forgetting their settings, excessive tyre wear, flat battery caused by earthing strap not being properly attached, flat battery caused by leaving interior light on for 15 minutes!, excessive brake pad & disc wear, air bag warning light faulty, interior trim falling off & rear door handle paint flaked off. Land Rover recovery are useless, refusing a recovery when the suspension failed because there was no local recovery agent available who had a flat bed lorry large enough to accomodate my vehicle & then they sent the replacement loan car to an address 300 miles away from my home! My warranty soon expires & I think I will have to sell the car. It was my life long dream to buy a Land Rover and when I finally accomplished it, my dream was shattered. I will never buy another Land Rover Discovery again and would advise anyone thinking of doing so, not to bother, unless you are prepared for a huge amount of hassle.
This is an excellent 4x4. The flat-folding seats are great, especially for camping fun!
The handbrake button is fantastic, the leather seats' comfort is great, but I find the sat-nav useless!
