    My car

I have now owned my SE for 3 months. This car is fantastic and looks superb in Silver with privacy glass and 19" wheels.

The level of comfort and sophistication is better than my previous Mercedes and the sat nav is a real joy to use.

I did have an issue with the climate control that refused to work on the hottest days of the year, but the dealer soon fixed this.

Overall I am very pleased with the car and Land Rover's after sales support and the dealership (Williams in Manachester) - also the Land Rover Experience Off Road session was great fun - I was amazed at what these cars are capable of.

    My car

I have had my Discovery 2.7 TDV6 HSE for six weeks and am extremly happy with its performance on road.

I am still waiting to take it off road properly but, in my limited time off road, it seems very sure-footed.

My previous car was a Mercedes ML270 CDI, which wasn't a patch on the Discovery.

The only two small problems so far have been some intermittent electrical gremlins the cruise control decided to stop and start working at random and I have had warnings that there is a suspension fault. The dealer is going to sort this for me hopefully.

The only other comment is that the door lining material shows every little mark, whether it's dirt, oil from your skin or dust, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

    My car

Just bought my Discovery a TDV6 HSE. Came to it after over 2 years with a Volvo XC90.

Can't believe the refinement of the engine and gearbox and the suspension which are leagues ahead of the XC90.

Also the levels of equipment on the HSE are superb. Try and spec an XC90 up to the same level and it costs even more than the Discovery!

The level of customer service at the purchase stage was simply excellent and I can only hope that it is reflected in the after-sales experience.

I thought that Volvo were the masters at this but Land Rover dealers are clearly getting their act together.

As someone who grew up reading horror stories about Land Rover reliability my heart is still in my mouth a bit at this early stage but it seems to be a well built car so here's hoping.

Rest assured if it's not up too scratch I'll be back on these pages to moan about it.

I agree it appears there is a bit of a backlash against this type of vehicle at the moment but at least I have 5 Kids and can justify it for the number of seats if nothing else!

This is a shame though because it seems that for once there is a British built vehicle which is a winner and deserves to succeed and straight away tree huggers and opportunistic politicians are out to get it.

    My car

Solid build quality, clever seven seat arrangement. Good levels of equipment but price reflects the vast improvement in design and materials.

Smooth power delivery puts most diesel rivals to shame. The Land Rover badge is increasingly perceived as a prestige marque and this car justifies the brand's burgeoning reputation.

Bravo, Land Rover, you truly have the class leader!
