Now on my second brand new Range Rover Vogue SE TD6 in three months. Handed the first one back under the sale of goods act as the ECB required replacement. Landrover were total swines didn't want to know at all. There is no complaint mechanism an no one will put you through to a supervisor even if you have bought a faulty £63K car.
Second car so far, the back bumper has had to be replaced due to faulty fitting in factory and the rear passenger door seal came loose at speed on the A1. It's going in for repair this week.
Great to see landrover are keeping up the standards.
My first Range Rover and I'm very happy with it. The supercharged engine keeps it hustling along and I can fit all of the family in it which, after an XKR, is a novel experience!
In awful weather the RR is the place to be, it wafts along silently and feels warm, bulletproof and extremely safe. The driving position is, of course, one of the main selling points and I can see why.
The electronics made a few early 'bongs'. Transmission failure, gearbox failure etc. However turning the car off and on again and it seems to have reset.
Fuel economy and a pal to the environment? Um, not quite! But I'm not sure we buy these cars to save the rainforests.
Having owned the vehicle over a year and a half i take back some of the stuff i had written about 18 month ago the vehicle has been back to the dealership approx 10 times thru electrical gliches and suspension problems i would'nt mind if this happened on your run of the mill corsa's,fiesta's but a 73k car at least when i re-new my car in 6 months the Range Rover will be at the bottom of my list OVERPRICED BUCKET ............
Unfortunately I either got the Friday end-of-shift car or British build quality is as bad as ever.
I've had to go back to the dealer far more than you should have to when you're spending this much money. I checked to see how much an extended warranty would be and it's £1000 per year, which to me says they are expecting to see the car more than they'd like too. I'll definitely get rid of it while it still has plenty of manufacturer warranty left. A great shame.
