    My car

This is a quantum leap over the previous version, which I own, but oh so big.

It has tremendous refinement and an eager performance. The interior is great, but not as intuitive as I would like. I found myself searching for controls.

It's still the king of image and style, if not road performance.

    And off-road? Absolutely awesome.

    My car

    It's an excellent motorway cruiser.

The quality of materials and workmanship is very high and it's plain to see BMW's influence on the Range Rover.

Diesel acceleration 40mph to 60mph (usual overtaking point) is very tardy although 60mph to 80mph pull is very good. Perhaps Land Rover should offer a performance upgrade for those vehicles that aren't crossing deserts or jungles, especially now that the Disco 3 has more power from a lower capacity engine.

My diesel consumption has generally been around 23mpg to 25mpg. Servicing costs are high, as you would expect for a complicated vehicle.

After owning many Land Rover vehicles, the Td6 Range Rover is outstanding in almost all areas. If you want to be impressed by the Range Rover's off road abilities, ride in one at the Land Rover experience centres (preferably not your own).
