    My car

It's my first Range Rover. It's a 2006 model 3ltr TDI Vouge SE and I have covered some 10,000 miles now and loved every one of them. It makes me feel king of the road with its high-up driving position and sure-footed grip on the road.

I have had no faults or problems of any kind to date, so therefore I only have praise for Land Rover. Plus my local dealers are first class in every way.

I can honestly say thay after owning several different 4x4s in the past that this is the one for me every time.

Brilliant - well done Land Rover.

    My car

I brought a 52 plate Range Rover 3.0TD6 HSE. After 6 weeks of owning it, with 42,000 on the clock and full landrover history.Travelling at 60mph with a boat on the back and the gearbox gave up 500 miles from home on the m6 at 1.30am. After getting the car home, I had it sent to our local landrover garage. They told me that the gearbox had "cooked" and that there was nothing left to it. Total price to replace and fit new box just under £4000. I have now traded the car in because i have lost all faith in it. I was so supprised that this would happen to car of this class. And as for Landrover customer service, well that's joke on it's own. Could not even supply me with a car while they were taking 4 grand of me! very poor. This is my first Range Rover and the very last. Don't buy unless you love throwing money away.

    My car

I have owned this car since june '06 when it was 2 months old and had covered 400 miles. Have now done 9000 miles on all types of roads, including many miles of towing livestock trailers. It is more comfortable, quieter and better built than my '02 version. There have been only a few minor trim faults but, whilst the satnav is a great improvement on the '02 version, LR still delight in installing out of date software. Roundabouts and by-passes, that are at least four years old, do not appear and navigation goes into meltdown more often than is reasonable. However, it is a very good vehicle and the best RR yet. This is my fifth RR and, despite some having had a lot of faults (the '02 being the worst and, atypically, the only totally faultless one was a '99 4.6 HSE), they are still the only 4x4 with real class. I agree with other owners about the dealers providing a rather indifferent service, but the smaller family owned dealers usually give a better service and seem to care more.

    My car

Have owned present Diesel Vogue since 03 mileage 43K. Last Range Rover, a 1997 2.5dse covered 145K miles and was superb. Some repair costs, but nothing significant. Present car absolutely faultless in 3+ years, apart from a blocked oil breather pipe that caused clouds of black smoke when started, but which was quicly resolved by local dealer (Conwy Landrover -EXCELLENT SERVICE) Have travelled some immense distances, Costa Brava in one go! and there is no better car for swallowing up the miles. The quality is second to none. Looked at a Porsche Cayenne at time of last replacement as I have had three Range Rovers and 3 Discoveries since 1986 and thought it time for a change, however after experiencing lousy Porsche Service with my Boxster at Porsche Wilmslow I came to my senses and thankfully stayed with Range Rover. Only car thats better for reliability is my wifes Toyota Corolla. A 1998 car that refuses to put a foot wrong. We are not selling it until we have a problem and as a result my wife is stuck with the most boring car on the planet.
