    My car

It took me months to decide what car to buy and as I've owned BMWs before, this was no easy choice.

Six weeks ago, I bought the IS 200 SE and now find every excuse to drive it. It's simply superb!

    My car

Love it, love it, love it! Although some have mentioned 'sluggishness', I tend to rev her slightly in first gear before acceleration - she takes off like a bullet. And with her rear-wheel drive, tight cornering and internal comforts, driving is always a pleasure. (I'm sounding like a car reviewer).

Through the years, we have been fortunate that my husband always had a company car, so we have had a fair understanding on the type of issues that arise from each make, expenses and type of service offered. It must be a global issue, but all other prestige cars come packaged with inexplicably high service costs and an inexcusable attitude problem. With the mid range, we found Nissan and Toyota most receptive. Then came Lexus.

We did a lot of research on after sales service and resale value, and are still today amazed how professional and accommodating Lexus service is. The only changes I've had was replacement of rear squeaky springs. This was free of charge. Plus, how many other 'prestige' car yards offer complimentary courtesy cars, while yours is being serviced?

Check the various forums, reviews and feedbacks on different models - only Lexus comes on top with great reviews, each and every time.

After six years, there is still nothing loose or squeaky internally (and Sydney roads can be rough), sits tight as a glove on the road and her chassis design is still 'modern'. The day I have to give her up will be a hard day. That is until the next Lexus wins us.

    My car

This is a superb entry-level Lexus. It's excellent to drive, with a good level of equipment.

Fuel economy is not too bad, with an average of 29.6 mpg. I have the Aero pack version with larger wheels, which means expensive tyres, but the looks with the body kit are exceptional.

The only fault is the performance in the snow - a few millimetres of snow and the car is useless.

    My car

Brilliant machine - just purrs along the road with its silky 6 cylinder engine.

This is my wifes car and what a purchase it has been - its an auto on a 02-reg with 33k on the clock.....my Wife bought this car 3years ago and has been hassle free motoring - the rear alloy wheel was changed under warranty due to corrosion which the dealer did not make a fuss about.

A great car to enjoy a relaxing drive.

A little slow when accelerating from 0 - 60 but then again its not really a hot hatch - thats where my Civic Type R comes into play.

Excellent customer service from dealers - always happy to help

A little message for Mr Holes - Firstly if you can buy a Jag for £2k more it will be the X-type - I dont call that luxury motoring as its based on the Mondeo! Audi is part of VW Seat and not to mention Skoda.

It clearly shows you know little about cars so why don't you keep your views to yourself.

    Happy motoring all Lexus drivers!
