    My car

I wanted an Elise for years and finally bought a nearly new 111R in January 2007 (a good time to buy). I have not stopped smiling yet.

I admit that the car is not the most practical, but we own an estate car for trips to the tip. Otherwise the Elise has been totally reliable, and a delight to drive no matter what the road.

It is the only car I've driven where acceleration, braking and cornering are literally inertia-free. Breathe on the accelerator and the Toyota engine pushes you seamlessly; brake and speed is wiped off at a rate that other cars cannot comprehend (beware those following) and the cornering balance is a joy.

If driving pleasure is what you strive for, go Lotus. Not only will you be smiling, but so does everyone around you. Cars let you in, kids wave, even Lambo owners nod in recognition.

However, please be warned: the Elise may spoil you for life, and all subsequent cars may feel like overweight whales.

    My car

This car does what it says on the tin. Light, agile, quick, efficient, fun.

Name me another car that can do 5.0 seconds to 60mph and 40mpg, that looks great, and handles like nothing on earth?

    My car

I've test-drove many sport cars before I decided to buy one. At the price tag of over $54K out the door, I would expect the car to perform much better for the value. The sport car appears to be way too primitive and under power with a 1.8 liter engine, very difficult to get in/out of the car, noise problem, parking brake sticky, and I feel very unsafe in it. For those of you that may be interested in this car, I suggest you to look for a few more choices like: Corvette, Chrysler Crossfire, 350Z, Sky, etc. I think you will find them more impressive and perhaps little less on the price tag with much better performance. I own one of the sports car above and loved.

    My car

i have owned this car now for nearly 2 months and have to say what a car. everything about it is great.the handling, speed, are brilliant.i have never had a car that attracts so much attention, and i find myself making up excuses to go and have a drive in it.if your in two minds on weather to buy one like i was , dont just get one you definatly wont be dissapointed.it makes me smile evertime im driving it.ive yet to experiance the full running costs because it was serviced when i bought it. fuel economy is good considering the performance.its a proper driving machine that requires your upmost attention, you do feel everything through the steering wheel.british engerneering at its best........
