    My car

I bought this car used from a Car Supermarket in February 2008 to replace my Honda Civic with something bigger and more powerful. The Mazda 6 ticks all the boxes for me. The diesel is torquey and responsive whilst the car handles with an agility you would normally associate with a much smaller vehicle. The steering is light and responsive, particularly so when reverse parking. The car is well equipped with plenty of gizmo's. The gearchange can be a bit notchy but this may smooth out with the miles. The boot is large and well shaped (particularly for camping gear!!!). All in all, I would readily recommend this car to anyone looking for a large family hatchback with a bit of spark!

    My car

No matter how I carefully I drive I cannot get any better than an average 30MPG. This has been checked by filling tank to the brim and averaging over long runs and short shopping ones. Would greatly appreciate it if those saying that they get something in the order of 40MPG would let me know how they achieve it. Do I need to have something checked and remedied?

    My car

Drove this car as a company vehicle for approx 6 months whilst new shape Ford Mondeo was on order.Miss it terribly since taking delivery of new car and wish had ordered the new shape Mazda 6.The Mazda had incredible smooth acceleration and power with fantastic handling with a very quiet ride. The gearbox was a little notchy at times but was probably due to me attempting changes to fast to keep up with the fast progress being made. All in all a great car that never missed a beat in almost 20000 miles that i put on the clock.

    My car

I bought my Mazda 6 just under a year ago as an ex fleet bargain with only 77k and a full service history. Shortly afterwards, the gearbox failed and fortunately Mazda had it repaired. The ride is fairly stiff (when compaired against the Peugeot 406 it replaced)and the bodywork around the rear quarterlight is very thin but the overall reliability has been fine and the stereo is superb. I agree with the reader from Lincolnshire that the MPG is always around 43 and it never fails to start first time. The dash layout is very good and there are numerous places to store cans etc. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Mazda6 and would replace it for another, perhaps the estate this time.
