For The Mazda 6 is great to drive, extremely reliable and distinctive

Against The 6 is blighted by limited rear headroom and restricted boot access

Mazda 6 Saloon
  • 1. The saloon body does limit the access to the big boot, but you do get split-folding rear seats that fold down flat to accommodate the largest loads.
  • 2. All models come with stability control and six airbags.
  • 3. Servicing costs are typical for this class of car, but Mazda's reliability record means bills should be kept to a minimum.
  • 4. The older 2.0-litre diesel engine can suffer with lubrication problems, where fuel finds its way into the oil system
