I have just purchased a 2001 Y reg GXI diesel. Its got 93k miles but the interior is like new, comfortable seats, CD, AIR CON, huge boot and 50 plus MPG. If you are looking for a reliable, comfortable diesel estate then I would recommend one, especially when you can get one for around £2000!
I have just purchased a 51 Reg 2.0 GXI SE diesel and must say that I am very pleased with the spec and the comfortable ride. It has done 85,700 miles and runs like new.
I have had this car the GSI SE 2002 model from new. It has been brilliant apart from the depreciation. The equipment is fantastic --cruise control, climate control, sunroof, alloys, ski-hole, fittings for IKEA roofbars, 6 cd player, etc. etc. The only replacement in 5 years has been a new brake light!! It has just sailed through the 5 yr MOT. A great buy as a second hand car for anyone lucky enough to find one.
I've had this 1997 model 626 for 2 years now; 132,000 miles when purchased - now up to 152,000. I've paid 2 years GreenFlag breakdown subscription, but have never ever needed to call them. Almost nothing has gone wrong, amazing for a car of this age and mileage. In the last 12 months my total maintenance bill has been £5 for a puncture repair, and £75 for the MOT and routine service. In the previous year I spent £100 on exhaust parts and about the same on new disks. Spares seem very cheap compared to other cars I've owned It's fast and comfortable to drive; excellent at eating up motorway miles; there's masses of space inside for the family and an amazing amount of luggage. I am very reluctant to part with this car; my next one is almost certain to be worse.

Bought car 2009 at 40k miles on clock. Since then I've had to replace both rear electronic brake calipers, to be fair this is probably wear and tear…
