I have the 2.0 petrol version. I bought it from a main dealer in June 2005 for £10500 (they saew me coming!!). At the time i was working for the company and needed a 7 seater - a means to an end i thought. 3 years down the line and the cost to keep it on the road have been horrific - especially with the rise of fuel prices! I am now in the process of trying to sell it as i no longer need the large full size mpv/7 seater. Although I have been slating it, I do have some pros: when all the seats are out (which is handy in itself as it takes a lot of the weight out) it becomes very handy when you need to go down the dump or move sofas etc. It drives alright for the size of it and if you time it right it can be quite nippy. overall, when I eventually sell it, i will miss it just for the usefulness of it as a "van".
owned this car since june 07 brilliant allround family car wheel spins a bit in the wet, you put your foot down and it takes off a very powerful well built car not the best looker but good value for money mine is 04 and not had 1 problem
Bought a used 2.0l diesel Mazda MPV, Oct 2007, with 45,0000 on the clock.
My first diesel car, very impressed with this car on motorways, as it picks up speed very quickly even when fully loaded.
It seems very solid, and well put together. The only gripes I have is the steering is very light, and it's easy to lose grip when you hit potholes.
The 5 rear seats are removable, but can be awkward to take out. I will eventually have rear parking sensors, and privacy glass fitted.
All in all, it's a great car, Mazda should have kept this model on, as the mazda 5 is proving to have a number of problems.
