    My car

I have owned this car for almost three years and it still makes me smile when I drive it. The road handling is superb - as light as a feather (great for parking) and yet with such precision (you point and the car will go). It has one of the best gear boxes you'll ever have the pleasure of using - I find my partners Passat gear change very 'sloppy' in comparison. If you have the money, try and get the hardtop. As well as protect the car during the winter months, it totally transforms the look of it. The interior is very cushioned and has a great quality about it - no metal bits in sight. With bucket shaped sport seats, they hold you in & give you a real comfy ride. I also love the attention you get in this car - never fails to turn heads. It's different, in a class of its own & its reliability another major bonus. I have nothing negative to say about the mx-5's except that I do feel that the newer shape has lost its 'fun' element in its handling and its looks - a pitty. Don't fix it if it ain't broke...

    My car

I'm not the right person to write this review because i'm a MX-5 Lover.

First I dream to have one by the style, de design etc... But when I drive one, and from that momment to now it's my favourit car and I bought one. Beatiful, easy to drive and have a lot of fun all day all year, all life (I hope). Drive it!

    My car

An excellent car, highly recommended. It's great fun on the road, too.

The main issue for me has been repeated issues with clutch judder - I've had 3 clutches so far. But the dealers have been fairly good at sorting the issue out, and the on-road experience is amazing. Bring on the summer.

Anybody who says its a hairdresser's car has never driven one.

    My car

I (finally) just bought my first MX5. I am so happy. Have been enjoying them from across the car park for years and now I've succumbed. I've driven all of 6 miles in my new one and I can't wait to drive home. The car just fits around you - clever Mazda. I looked at the '07 but the engineers obviously put it on steroids b'cos it looks inflated and nowhere near the svelte, classic shape that is a MX5.

Can't speak to running costs yet but I feel very assured by the cars' reputation. And that repairs/replacements don't seem to be as killer as Audi - I had an A3 for years and tho I loved it (and turned it into a 'truck' to move lots of 'stuff' around) it was a real '2 star' when it came to running costs.

Must fly: got great wee car to play with...
