When it's dry and sunny, there's no convertible better (in this price range) to drive.
The car handles exactly as you want it to, regadless of how demanding you are.
The only draw back to this car is when it's wet or icy, I had occasion to take it out for a spin the other day, there was about half an inch of light snow and the car wouldn't grip at all. I use the word "SPIN" because that's virtually what was happening.
Apart from that if you get a chance to buy a good one at a reasonable price, then go for it. An ideal first convertible.
In it's simple original 1.6 guise, the MX-5 is the perfect re-invention of the Great British sports car.
No prizes for guessing the inspiration, but this time it works beautifully every time.
A compact, poised ride, with just enough power for the communicative chassis. The steering and gearchange are still the best I've ever used. Forget heavy motorised hoods, forget all the frills, don't fit low profile wheels they got it so right in the first place you wouldn't want to spoil the sublime balance.

Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
