    My car

Fantastic steering. Good build quality. As much fun to drive (or more) than the TT, bu 2/3rds the price.

    My car

I fell in love with the first-generation MX-5 back in the early 1990s and never did anything with it - I now know that is my greatest driving loss.

What a super car to drive - the first time I took one out for a test drive my face lit up with a huge grin at the first series of bends - the steering is light, responsive and that short-shift six-speed box is a dream. The pedals are light and although it's not the fastest car on the road it still throws you back in your seat giving immense pleasure.

The road handling for an open top is without equal and I am including Porsche Boxsters and Honda S2000s in that statement. This little gem sits on rails and begs to be thrown about corners.

Fortunately I don't do many motorway miles - I prefer A- and B-roads and that is where this little car leaves everything in its wake.

If you want a sports car - don't think twice, head down to your Mazda showroom.

    My car

This is my second review for this car and I have to say it is still brilliant. The only problem I have is the good old British summer - the poor roof has been up what feels like for ever.

I'm not writing about how good the car drives because other people have done that for me.

The best thing about the car is the way people look at it as if it is a Ferrari or another extremely exotic car. I'm not kidding!

What can I say? People who are considering this car and are looking at the MX-5s competitors should stop and just buy the MX-5. It's a cracker!

    My car

I collected my ex-demo 1.8 Option Pack on 1st May and the last eight weeks have been brilliant! It’s just a shame that the British summer has yet to start.

The car looks great and mental to drive. The driving position is comfortable but anyone taller than me (6ft) would have trouble fitting in.

This is the kind of car which you make excuses to take out - you don’t have anywhere to go, you just want to drive it!

Boot space is adequate and fuel consumption is okay, though not sure I’m quite reaching the figures Mazda state – though this may be due to my heavy foot!

Before I bought the car, I read many reviews saying that this car puts a huge smile on your face and it’s true!

Buy one, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
