    My car

This 1998 version replaced my 1987 3TE 4matic. A more nimble trouble free estate you couldn't wish for.

I bought it last year with 78,000 miles on the clock. Although it has a big load area, the underpowered engine struggles at low revs.

Servicing at a non-dealership averages £400 annually, and mpg is usually in the mid 30's. There have been no electrical gremlins. The cabin is well laid out, with some nice touches. Although the cloth covers are hard-wearing, they look a bit naff. The air-conditioning can freeze your nuts off!

My only gripe is the poor quality paintwork that marks too easily.

    My car

Good, solid car. However, it took a little getting used to as the ride is a little harder and it's a little more sluggish than the Laguna it superceded. The slight loss of take off speed is no real hardship at the end of the day, and has probably stopped me getting into trouble, I dare say!

The most impressive thing for me, is the fantastic turning circle of this car. I've been looking at other cars to replace this one, and it would appear, nothing of a similar class can compete with it's car park friendliness!

    My car

    I own a 1999 T reg C200 auto estate which I purchased 6 months ago for just £5500.

The sheer depth of engineering and quality sounds out everytime you drive. It has just covered 100k miles and still feels rattle free. Running costs are very reasonable - 35mpg and a major service cost £300.

Nothing has gone wrong yet. Only fault is that is feels underpowered going up hills, although the engine is at its best at the top end around 80-85 where there is plenty of power.

    My car

Quiet, comfortable, surprisingly good acceleration and deceptively quick. However, handling at speed does not match those other qualities (unlike equivalent sized BMW's for example).

    Servicing expensive.
