I have owned the C220CDI Sport for 2 months now and I can honestly say that I am smitten 100%. My car has the optional Advanced Agility Control, and in practice this turns the car from comfortable cruiser to fun machine, for £490 I would highly recommend adding this options, even it was just to help when you resell.
The only fault, if you could call it that, is the wind noise of the wing mirrors at speed, which you will hear if you have the radio off, switch the radio on, and you won't notice much at all. I actually like having larger wing mirrors which provide a better view of all blind spots etc.
The interior is much classier than BMW's 3-Series. The BMW dealership I went to for comparison even admitted this and said I would be better off comparing the c-class with the current 5-series!
A truely excellent all round car.
Writing on behalf of my dad this is the best car we've owned in years. After several Saabs (changing from 1.9 150bhp vector) we decided to take a step up in the market and buy the new C220. After a 5min test drive we saw the huge difference in both the drive and cabin quality. The 170bhp is plenty and the diesel engine is barely audible. The seats are extremely comfortable and are great in full leather. Loads of rear leg room (i'm 6ft) makes long journeys so much better now and the audio system is great. Skip the waiting list and source out a pre-registered one like we did.
Having owned the old C-Class 220 CDI auto, I find the drive smooth, quiet, effortless at speeds and exceptionally good on fuel economy.
A test drive of the new C-Class 220 CDI auto proved worthwhile - the interior has improved, it appears to be better finished, the seats are more comfortable, the power has improved and the design and finish is excellent all-round.
Needless to say I have ordered one to arrive early in October.
Just been for test drive, wow what a car, smoother quiter than my outgoing C180. The dash layout is so much more linear and as for the pop up screen and bluetooth (boys and toys) Cant wait to get mine in September. Lots of kit with the Elegance. The seats are very comfortable, feels and looks more spacious inside, reminds me of a mini S Class, good acceleration on the motorway, all together a much better put together car.I could not find a thing to complain about including the dedicated Mercedes leasing staff, thanks Hema.
Order a brochure, find your nearest dealer or book a test drive
I've had 6 VWs now including this one and it is a mixed bag. In no particular order the economy is poor despite the FSI badging and in town never…
Why is there so much whining about the rear sets? It's small - it's called a "mini" (hint). It didn't get any smaller after you bought it, so deal…
