Wow I love this car, it is a real head turner! The AMG body kit makes it stand out and will probably help when it comes to selling it, and I love the flappy paddle and multi adjustable seats, (heated as well) MPG is not as good as I was expecting, but the performance is just phenomenal, it pulls like a steam train. For this acceleration in a petrol I would be lucky to get MPG in the 20's but I am averaging 34. This diesel V6 is so smooth and quiet, forget the petrol. I have been told the Brabus chip boosts power and will improve my fuel economy, why get the petrol? The Sat Nav is straight forward and simple to use, it warns me of traffic jams and tells me what time I will be home for dinner. What I like best is the split folding rear seats which make it really versatile for a coupe, but having a coupe with a young child would be an issue! or so I thought. Just wind down the windows and with no B pillar I can lift in young Dougie into his Britax with no drama's. Can not believe anyone would buy a Jaguar over a Mercedes but it takes all tastes, some people just do not worry about residuals.
We bought the CLK after upgrading from the C Class Coupe that we didn't enjoy.
We love the CLK: it is a real head turner and far superior to cars we have had in the past.
On a journey it really is comfortable, safe and a pleasure to drive. I still feel fine at the other end and the V6 makes a nice noise if pushed, although I rarely feel the need.
The only downside that both my wife and I struggle with is visibility when parking, so sensors are an essential extra.
2 years old and it broke down on the test drive! At a Merc main dealer too...enough said...expensive and poor build quality.
Very disappointing. Was really looking forward to driving the 500, but it was disappointing. Lacked real acceleration, and the price just isn't worth it. Bought a XJ8 3.5 instead, ok performance and far more refined.

I once owned an 04 GT (the version with the stupidly heavy clutch - a built in gym for your left leg). I've driven both editions since and must say…
I bought my TT 2 years ago, second hand (99 model)with 40k on the clock. Since then it has done 40 more. Service costs have been £250 a time. Timing…
