    My car

I have had my 2006 CLS a couple of months now and I love it. The ride is silky smooth and the power is there when needed Mine as all the gadgets you would want in a car People at work think i have just bought it new, when i tell them its 06 they were surprised Having a personal number plate can fool most ;-) My boss said he must be paying me to much not enough i said otherwise i would have got me self a new one. If you can afford one go out and get one you will love it

    My car

I've leased this car for 3 years now and love almost everything about it. So much so that nothing I've driven recently comes up to par, but I have to change to something else because 4 seats is no longer practical.

My only gripe with the car is that I can never get near Mercedes official mpg figures. I average 28mpg and have a real mixture of town and motorway driving. I'm lucky to get the official combined mpg of 37mpg even on a long steady motorway run when I should be getting closer to 45mpg - so the stated numbers are definitely unrealistic.

I've also had a problem with Mercedes 'fixed price servicing', where they tell you the full cost up front. It seems that some parts have to be 'mandatorily' replaced during a service, but are considered to be beyond the scope of the service. This means that they tell you much the service will cost, then replace additional parts and charge you a higher amount than they had previously advised. And Mercedes told me that this is their standard policy. I managed to get a credit, but only after debating the issue with the service manager.

That said, my next car will probably be a Mercedes too.

    My car

I owned a 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo for over 6 years, as our children grew we needed to replace it with a 4 door coupe, as I still wanted a stylish car. I was looking for a well built, quick, comfortable, quiet and economical car, the 320 CDI ticked all the boxes. I love this car as I loved the Porsche, I cannot fault it and service costs are realtively cheap also, at around £220 for a minor service. My advice to anyone requiring a brilliant 4 seat cruiser is buy one. On long runs I achieve 41mpg at high motorway speeds, I also find the 7 speed auto box silky smooth.

    My car

A lovely car. As others have commented the gearbox is bit clunky at low speeds; otherwise I can't fault it. The build quality is vastly superior to the Audi A6 that it replaced; the ride, even on 18 inch wheels, is much better than the Audi on 16 inch wheels! I've owned the car for 6 months but it still takes my breath away when I see it in profile. I've just returned from a family holiday in Cornwall; with 4 up, a tank full of diesel and a boot groaning with luggage I expected the performance to be severely compromised, not a bit of it. The CLS' performance is truly amazing. Buy one if you can!
