    My car

Just had a test drive in the 320CDI sport and what a revelation compared to the old model.

In relation to the BMW X5 and Range Rover Sport it is ahead, but not by much. The new v6 engine coupled with the 7-gtronic box is a delight in refinement and performance.

The quality of the interior is a vast improvement but behind the "gravitas" of the Range Rover Sport, the side profile look a little busy at the side of its two main rivals in the "want one but dont need one" sector of the 4x4 market.

The drivetrain and space appeal the most the R.Vs and whole life costs should be good in the early years but once there is a few about the used values may fall.

Would I buy one? Early model for rarity value possibly, but I would want to be in and out and order a new 7seat GL to stay one step ahead of the avoricious depreciation monster in this market sector.
