    My car

I have had my ZR for four months now after buying it at six months old. What a dream of a car! It's good looking and nippy without being over the top.

Yes, there are always going to be niggles - there's a knocking from boot, a seat adjuster that keeps falling off and one or two other minor problems, but overall it's the best fun car I've driven for a while.

It feels comfy on heavy driving and holds the bends well, leaving plenty of oomph left for overtaking.

    My car

I bought this car in January and initially loved it - it was fairly quick yet gave reasonable mpg. It has literally no mod cons other than air con but this makes it more fun to drive.

However at 41k with full service history mine has decided, like so many others, to blow the headgasket! At £600 approx to repair this experience has totally put me off it. I had been told most failures were on early models, but this is obviously wrong!

Yes, it's fun to drive, but take out a decent warranty if you buy one!

Oh, and the electrics are terrible, but you do get air con on the 160.

    My car

i bought my mg 7 months ago and it has only done 40,000 miles. it was making an odd noise so i took it to the garage to learn that it needs a new gear box!!!! the guy in the garage said he has been in his job for over 20 years and only had to replace 1 gear box and was shocked. i have e mailed mg direct only to be told "i am unlucky"!!! yes whatever mg but just a word of warning to anyone thinking of buying one..you might be "unlucky" like me too!!!

    My car

I've had this car for a month, I love it! It is a relatively sporty car on a budget... I'm 21 and the MG is not too bad on insurance or petrol. The ride is great on the straight and brilliant on corners, it glues to the road. But over bumps you have to be careful that you don't take the body kit off and the suspension is sort of noisy. The cabin is great - lots of space and half leather sport seats are usually non-existent for the price you pay for one of these.
