I grin like an idiot everytime I get into my ZR. This car corners brilliantly, accelerates from standing quicker than an Audi TT (haha) is sensible for urban driving and heaps of fun on the country lanes. I find it pretty economical to run and have had no major problems. There are admittedly a few niggles such as the odd rattle in the cabin etc but as a British made car I feel these add to its charm! I highly reccomend owning one of these stunners.
stunning drive amazing handling around the bends no matter how hard you push the little belter she just keeps on clinning on to the road 1 down side though the driving position is rubbish!!!!!
I Bought the car new just before Rover went bust. Ive had it for 2 years now and ive done alot of miles in it. My main concern is the running cost of fuel, although it is an automatic so i'm not sure if that can effect it economically. I had a problem with the interior door panel which wasnt fitted properly so slide down and would catch an jam the door. £60 later tho it is fine and have recently discoverd it is a common problem. Not to put you off tho this car is fun to drive and has a great sporty look. The interior is similar to a rover 25, It doesnt look as gucci inside as some other cars its age but its British and ive had no problems with the air con or electrics. I have no plans to sell mine and would reccommend a mgzr to anyone.
When i first saw this car i loved it, now i absolutely hate it!! It has caused me so much grief and it is literally falling apart!! To list a few of it's many faults: wind noise-LOUD whistling from the sunroof, gaps in window seals which also whistle, a sunroof which leaks and will cost £600 to replace and fit, windscreen wiper blades which have fallen off, washer jet tubes which have split, last week the engine mount broke damaging the gear levers and splitting the exhaust and breaking the oil temperature level guage!! And to top things off today the heating control switch snapped. It is a really nice car to look at and is fun to drive but once you have owned this car for a few months and the novelty wares off you will begin to see that it is a very poorly built car and it will fall to bits and is definately going to cost you a lot of money in the long run (and a lot of hassle and stress.)
