    My car

I have only owned this car for just over a week, but it has been a joy to drive.

I got no real discount from the dealership but it has a great spec for the price. I love the sliding rear seats, it seats four adults comfortably or two children with luggage.

The power steering gives more feedback than class rivals with no noticeable body roll for such a tall car. It has a great driving position too.

If you are looking for economy with practicality, this is the one.

    My car

Only done 500 miles in the Colt DiD so far (after trading in my trusty six-year-old Rover 200 85bhp diesel). There is significantly less engine noise from the diesel in the Colt while driving and when idling. Even when pushed hard, the sound from the Colt's diesel engine is quite sporty.

There is, however, noticeable road noise in the cabin. The Colt is definitely much nippier than the old Rover and does not suffer from the terrible turbo lag that the Rover had.

Everything works and as of yet there are no squeaks or rattles. There is tremendous space for rear seat passengers when the seats are pushed back but this means that boot space is sacrificed. Rear seats can be slid forward, rolled or removed to give much more carriage space (I had a fully boxed 28" wide screen TV, stand (assembled), video and DVD player in the back and still had space to spare (rear seats were out).

I find the driving position to be very comfortable with all controls close to hand and easy to find. I love the dashboard display which shows temperature, time, radio data and various other statistics (current mpg, journey mpg, miles left in tank and average mph). It gets addictive trying to keep the mpg as low as possible.

So far the only disappointment has been the stereo, which, while easy to use, does not give great sound from CDs.

    My car

I have owned the 1.3 petrol for 3 months.

The worst thing about this car is that there are a lot of bad noises on rugged tarmac. Sometimes you can hear some noises on good terain too! I am not sure if this is only my car's problem or standard Colt noises.

Visibility is also not good on left turns (steering wheel on the left). Very noisy engine but personally I like its noise! The back of the car doesn't look as good as the front and side views of the car. It doesn't look good at all.

The rest of the car is just great! Spacious, economic and very steady on the road.

Equipment is also very good for its price.
