This car was bought so my son could learn to drive, and the difference in costs I've found is amazing.
I drove this car for about a year. It was getting on a bit around 97k mileage and it started falling apart!
I think that the car all round is great, the engine was sound.
Took in one the motorway doing 80mph and it used the same amount of feul as if I was doing 40mph!
The only downsides are the lack of space, comfort and uphill driving.
Very, very good little car
The first of this run of Micras were fantastic - great to drive with a real 'sporty' side to their handling - almost go-kart like.
As the mark progressed, it seemed to lose that sporty edge, with sloppy suspension and questionable build quality in the cabin - rattles ensued and the plastic looked tacky.
They do, however, return good fuel economy figures, although not with air-conditioning running (then it becomes dire!) and the 1.4 is a bit gutless compared to the perky 1.0.
It's a car better designed for short shopping trips than for country roads.
