This is my first Nissan, i had a mondeo before, and needed to downsize, i looked at a few smaller cars, but this one really caught my eye, she is in black, with factory tints on the rear windows, or privacy glass, nice alloys, a very eye catching car! ive owned the car for 4 months now, and all i can say is she very good on fuel, and very comfortable on long journeys, iam 6ft 5 and i find the seat well cushioned and very supportive. the one thing that annoys me is the airbag warning light coming on as soon as i have moved the passenger seat, £48 each time at the dealers, it is poor!!!!!!!!! I like the fact the the rear seat moves, and there are a few cheeky hiding places. On the whole a well thought out car, let down by cheap parts!
Bought my 03 plate Micra brand new out of the show room and have never regretted it. It's comfy to drive - even over long distances, holds its own on the motorway, it is economical and cheap to insure, has loads of storage with a boot easily big enough to do the Tesco run, very well equipped (how many car radios have LW on so you can listen to the cricket on radio 4?) and it is very nippy round town as well. If I had to pick out a few niggles they would be the high tax bracket compared to other cars, the slightly noisy engine and the fact that the smoked headlights have faded to such an extent that the poor thing looks like it's got cataracts. Must get new headlights before it gets dark early. All I've had done so far (60k miles) is regular servicing and replacement of consumables - back section of the exhaust, tyres, brake pads etc so no problems to report there. I've been looking for another car purely cos mine is nearly 8 years old but to be honest I can't find anything to match "Dilbert" for overalll value for money. Guess we'll be together for a while longer which is fine by me.
We had this car new in September 2005 and it is a low milage second car.
The only problems todate have been a noisy electric window and faulty a door catch. The later was potentially dangerous as the passenger door swung open whilst driving.
It holds the road well and has a lively and responsive engine. The overall quality is reasonably good and we like the way the rear seat slides forward to give a larger boot area. The main dislike is the fact that the rear seat backs don't fold completely flat, which severely reduces load capacity.
The car is great fun to drive.
I enjoy my Nissan Micra. When I bought the car in Cardiff Wessex garage about 3.5 years ago they told me it was a 1.2 SE Extra- the extra's being e-sun roof, leather steering wheel and Alloy wheels. The Micra is very roomy inside - I'm on the big side and there's loads of room. It's lovely to drive too. The technology's good. The only faults are: the windows rattle if they are not all the way up or down; I had a faulty boot switch and faulty reversing light switch, which just cost me £209 to have repaired. The faulty boot switch was quite dangerous as it was release the boot whilst I was driving. I've read a few reviews on the Internet and there seems to be a common fault with the Micra's boot switch. However, overall it's a good car with loads of room inside. The only other fault is that the leather steering wheel has started disintergrating. I bought the car from new (75 miles on clock), so I know that none of the faults are through negligence. I also get my car serviced every 9k as advised.
I have this car as a courtesy car as my own was smashed by an idiot running into my back and have now done 500 miles. I'll be positive first,…
Just sold my Panda after 5 years of trouble free driving,I only got rid of it because a slightly bigger car was needed. I would be happy to…
