    My car

I have been waiting six months for my black Qashqai in Ireland. The waiting list over here is crazy! I should get it next week, hopefully!

I have test driven one and believe all aspects of the car are excellent.

    My car

Has anyone tried to sit in the rear seats and swing their feet in? It fits a child's foot in the gap between he open door panel/speaker box and the seat itself.

Ideal for adults? Seats three in the back? I don't think so - unless they have double-jointed feet! This car has amazingly poor access!

Otheriwse it is an excellent drive and interior, albeit all in black. Have light-coloured interiors all disappeared as we are such a 'dirty' nation? Are they too much trouble to keep clean?

    My car

I had a '55 Freelander and it started to cost too much on fuel, tax and insurance. I didn't want to swap it for a 'standard' hatchback and went looking for something a little different.

I thought about the Dodge Caliber but that's as far it got. I test-drove, then ended up ordering a Qashqai, picked it up four weeks later at the end of March and decided to wait a few months until we'd spent some time together before writing a review!

We've covered 3000 miles now and what a fantastic car it is. It handles beautifully, it accelerates when it's supposed to, (even though it's a diesel), it's the most comfortable car I've ever sat in, you sit reasonably high and the controls are easily at hand and easy to use.

It's in Fired Iron finish with chocolate/orange interior (you'll love yours, Veronica!). There's big enough boot space to get the Shepherd in, (dog variety not the sheep herder), he loves it - won't get out.

Is it only Qashqai owners that can pronounce the name correctly? Sounds like waiting list is getting longer for this car - not surprising as Nissan are on a winner with this. So go on, get one...

    My car

Finally, after a four-month wait, my Bessie arrived on 19/07/07.

It's a 1.6 Visia in intense blue and looks fantastic.

It is so comfortable to drive, and the gadgets are fantastic, (especially the bluetooth). The boot is also large.

The high driving position is also really good - I would highly recommend a Qashqai to anyone.
