Bought this car in Mar 2007 for my wife who wanted a small automatic car for round town driving. I was sceptical having never really heard of Perodua before and was steering her towards a Suzuki.
What a pleasant surprise. It isn't fitted out with lots of extras but as a basic round town car it is difficult to beat for the money.
It's easy to drive, has good visibility, power steering, an incredible steering lock, electric windows and mirrors and is deceptively roomy inside for such a small car and I'm 6ft 2in.
Dealer service so far has been excellent. When we bought it, it was delivered to our door with a full tank of petrol and a set of fitted mats all for £40.
It's economical and insurance is relatively cheap. In fact I keep finding excuses to drive it when I am going on short journeys as it's fun to drive.
It's well built with two year warranty, including breakdown cover and 6 years corrosion warranty all for £6k. What else could you get new for that money? I'd buy another one without hesitation.
I totally agree with Tracey Main - this is a cheap and nasty little car with no character or gadgets, and it's very ugly.
It feels like it has been built with the budget of a little boy's weekly pocket money. It has no innovation features, and gives a feeling that the designers at Perodua designed it on a five minute coffee break and couldn't give a damn about cars.
When I test drove this car the cabin quility was bad and the syling was VERY bad and my friend owns a 2006 plate one and it came to her with a large brown stain on the bodywork
Cheap and nasty. You certainly get what you pay for with this car - not a lot.
