We bought this car 12 months ago and have been very pleased with it. We paid 50% of the list price for a demonstrator with less than 2,000 miles so I would never advise buying a new one without a big discount. It is well equipped and the sliding rear seats make it very versatile. The car is quiet on the motorway and comfortable on long journeys. It also feels very solid and safe. We have had no problems at all during the first year of ownership. My only criticisms would be that it's bit thirsty on fuel for it's size and a bit sluggish due to it's weight. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a small safe car that will cope well with long journeys, but go for the diesel if possible and buy a low mileage secondhand one.
I can't understand what all the critics are talking about. This car is excellent if you see it for what it is, which is an extremely flexible and comfortable city car. The doors are excellent and aren't slow. It uses hardly any fuel and is comfortable on the motorway in the fast lane. The CD player is good and the controls on the steering column are well placed. The space is versitile and allows you to either accomodate people or more luggage or a compromise of both. You also feel very safe in it. All in all it is an excellent city car that is capable of being much more when you need it to be. Grab yourself a bargain while they are so cheap used. You won't be disapointed. Its very under rated.
Great car, love it, doing 50 mpg around town (Manchester) and on a long trip got 59.4 mpg. Was 6 months old when i got it with 900 miles on clock, Got a great deal on it with a good part exchange price on my 206. You do lose a lot of money if you buy new but got mine from dealer as ex demo. Great to get in and out with the big doors. Realy do like the car and will have one again.
My boyfriend purchased this car 2006. The car was 2 months old. This car has had nothing but problems. I wouldn't recommend this car to my worst enemy. It has been in the garage more times than I have driven it.
It has had two gearboxes, brakes, tyres, doors opening when on motorway, doors automatically closing when you are getting in and out of it, windows not going up - you name it, this car has had it.
Had no car for 3 months as I had to wait for a new gearbox from France. Now 1 month later car is dead again with transmission failure.
TAKE MY ADVICE, STEER CLEAR FROM THIS CAR!
Like someone who posted earlier, I was told it's a waste of time trying to sell the car or put it in part exchange as no company would touch it.
So there you go - thousands of pounds wasted on a pile of junk.
I am now taking legal advice.
