Had nothing but trouble with this car from before it was delivered! First of all I had to wait for months with constant promises it was 'on it's way' - when it finally arrived, I was thrilled to have a personalised number plate, thinking I would be keeping for a long time. How wrong could I have been? 4 weeks after purchase it needed a new gearbox - 2 weeks later it needed oil as there wasn't any in - I have had to constantly fill with oil ever since. The doors need slamming to close - the carpet came loose after a few weeks - the passenger seat broke after 3 weeks - catalystic converter problems - constant flashing up on screen with unknown faults - it cuts out whilst driving - it doesn't start - it leaks - rain pours in through window. I could go on and on and on. In short - it is the worst car of my life and would not recommend Peugot dealers - rude - patronising and down right ignorant - enough said - you get the picture!
I bought my cc in September 2007, it was 3 yrs old. There are a few good things about this car, i absolutely loved it when i got it (was my dream car),it looks fab with the roof down, is actually quite spacious in the front and is surprisingly reasonable on fuel (I have the 2.0 allure version & expected it to drink like crazy!). However, then the rain came along. It leaks like crazy on passenger side and behind driver seat which has resulted in the carpets being saturated with water and is now making the whole car smell. Have taken it back to dealership twice and still leaking. I got to take it back again next week, but apparently this is very common on them, wasnt told this when i bought it though! The doors seem to clank shut and the whole car creaks when driving. Oh and funny everyone seems to mention the skeaky brakes, yeah mine too! To conclude, if you would like a car that looks nice and goes quite fast get this car, if you would like a car that keeps you dry and doesnt sound like its going to fall apart go for something else! Please dont waste your money, I am gutted as costs me a fortune every month on finance and will end up costing me money if i want to part exchange!
i bought this car new and from day one i thought it was very jerky and hard to drive smoothly even though it it an automatic. the car has been back into the dealers four times having broken down by refusing to start from cold twice and then again when hot.the problem was not diagnosed and every time it was looked at the dealers said it ran perfect for them when tested, after four failures problem was diagnosed as a faulty fly by wire system causing engine to flood when trying to start and also causing jerkiness as system was delivering too much fuel sometimes and not enough at others. this morning car failed again and i managed to drive it very slowly and lumpily to dealers running on two cylinders and problem was diagnosed as one of the two coils had failed each coil runs two cylinders. mental note MUST GET RID OF CAR asap have no confidence in it at all.
I have had my car for three years, from a dealership up north. The only persistent problem I have had is the side airbag light continually staying lit, which still has not been fixed. Overall I have not had any major problems, I had had to replace two expensive exhausts as the join has worn on both, which I am told is quite a common problem. I have also had to replace the clutch and several new tyres, but my car is over six years old, so it's not surprising. I love my little orange car, perhaps they do improve with age......
Order a brochure, find your nearest dealer or book a test drive
Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
