    My car

I bought a second hand one (my dream car! - had wanted one for years) in April 07 and had to take it back to the main dealership i bought it from two weeks later coz they hadn't bothered to check the brake pads and shoes.

They did that under warranty, then in July the car broke down 100 yards from my home. It was towed to the main dealership, and I was first told I had put diesel in my petrol car, then possibly the head gasket was going, then was finally told that I had been driving through flood water, and that the water had entered the air filter and damaged the con rods and pistons. I had never driven it in the rain, so don't see how the water could have got in there.

Has anyone else had this problem? Or have i just bought a dyson on alloy wheels?

    My car

I bought this car from a reputable Nissan dealer with a years warranty. From day one i have had nothing but trouble with the car and it has been back to the garage and to peugeot more times than id like to mention. First i had to renew all 4 tyres, as i was told, they were wear and tear items, then the exhaust started blowing, then the fan inside the car broke, the electric window stopped working and went back approx 4 times,(and still gets stuck sometimes) then the doors weren't shutting properly so it was reset 4 times, oh and the roof leaks. I have also been told several different things about the way the car should work from peugeot, they dont seem to know themselves,so if they dont know how it works how the hell do they expect us to. Nightmare ! i regret spending every penny, never again !

    My car

Anyone considering buying this car-please don't and save yourself money and hassel. I owned this car from new and started having problems with it after 1 week. The car would jolt when accelerating- nearly causing a couple of accidents. Took it back to the Peugeot garage 3 times and told they couldn't find out the problem. It took for the girl on reception to tell me that it is 'injection delay' and that is why it was pulling-thanks!! I also suffered from leaky windows- had the trim replaced but this did not resolve the problem. The electric windows broke-so yet another trip to the clueless garage. The final straw came when the exhaust fell off- this is apparently common in this car. Peugeot garage quoted me £850.00 to get this replaced- ended up paying £125.00 for exactly the same part and with better service elsewhere. The garage had tightened the wheel nuts too tightly so when I went to get a slow flat repaired (at a more reasonably priced garage) the lads could not get the tyre off. They pointed out that if I had a blowout on the motorway then I would be stuck as the breakdown people would have the same problem and would not be able to repair my tyre.

The fact that this car was falling apart was bad enough but the customer service from the dealership was the worst customer service I have experienced-please avoid this car like the plague.

The only positive is that it looks nice with the roof down on a nice day.

    My car

I Have had this car from new since May 2004 and it will run out of warrenty on 28/05. I have suffered from rain dripping into the vehicle from the join between roof and driver side window since day 2 of owning the vehicle, I have been back 3 times and they have not been able to fix it. I have had a knocking noise coming from what seems like just under the steering column under the vehicle when accelerating and Peugot have not found it each time I have been in, which is 3 times. As with everyone else I suffer from noisy breaks which I am told from Peujeot "is because they get very dusty". Does anyone know where I stand if I go back before my warrenty runs out and they still can't fix the leak. Surely I am entitled to a replacement car???? Please help
