    My car

I am looking for a new car, so I tested the new Renault Clio, Peugeot 207 and Toyota Yaris to size them up.

I discounted the Yaris because it felt plasticky and old-fashioned to drive and the ride was too harsh. The Clio and 207 are quite similar in many respects, but I prefer the look of the 207 and the interior just feels better quality and more stylish.

In comparison, the Clio felt bland and old woman-ish. The 207 also had the better drive with light but engaging handling and a sorted ride. The 90bhp HDi diesel engine is really smooth, too, and better than the dCi engine in the Clio in my opinion.

At the end of the day, I guess it depends on which look you prefer, because both are great cars, but I'll be placing an order for the 207 in the next few days. That's because I think it's better in most respects except for rear headroom, but that doesn't really affect me. I'm just waiting for a good deal because my local dealer is reluctant to negotiate.

    My car

I have recently driven the new 207 at a Peugeot launch event, and found both the drive and build quality to be of an extremely high standard.

The car is very well finshed inside and looks fantastic from the outside. My wife drives a 306, and this will be the perfect replacement for it, as the size is almost identical.

The prices start at a cheap £8995, too, and my local dealer is doing some fantastic offers and a launch on June 8 2006, which I am excited about.

    My car

I have recently been to one of the launches for the new 207 through work and its the best small car i have ever been in. I have owned vauxhalls and vws before but this is really impressive. It looks great and the inside of the car seems like a much more expensive car. The car should be even better than the 206 as it is much better value for money.
