I have recently bought the 307 CC and have never been so disappointed in my entire life.
I have now placed an order for a new Saab 9-3 convertible, and, after driving one, I am looking forward to this change.
When I was driving my 307 CC, the door kept opening all by itself, the immobiliser kicked in while cruising along, and the roof broke five times.
I've owned this car for a year now and I think it's great. Nobody buys a convertible for 100% practicality but the 307 offers a good mix.
I covered 2500 miles touring France during the summer and the boot managed to hold enough luguage for two people for two weeks with the roof down. I've had no technical problems with the car at all.
Running costs aren't cheap though. I'm averaging 30mpg, and I've had to replace all tyres after 15,000 miles - quite pricey at £380.
I would definitely recommend this car to someone who is looking for a good all-rounder. It comes into its own during the summer months, but is equally good during the winter.
Retiring in May this year we decided to go back to a cabriolet after the last two years with a Renault Megane 'shaking your ass'. Having previously owned a 306 Cabriolet which was superb, we have gone for the 307cc this time.
Its looks are head-turning and the security of that metal roof puts your mind at ease when leaving the car unattended.
Like all French cars, it rides smoothly and comfortably, and it cruises so quietly with the top up or down. We love it
I've not had this car long so I guess the novelty factor is still present. However, it is very comfortable to drive with the roof up or down.
Equipment levels are good and safety features give a feeling of security. Not impressed with the mpg as yet but as I said it is still very new. Returning about 35 mpg on a run as opposed to the claimed 45 in the glossies.
You can seat four adults in comfort but the rear two have to be on the short side as headroom is limited. The jury is still out.

Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
