I have had my coupe for about a month now - I love it! I got it from a dealer for £14500 with barely any miles on the clock considering it would cost around £21k new it was a bit of a bargin. Even though it is an 'S' model you still get enough kit(dual climate, xenons, rear parking sensors, auto ligts/wipers) to satisfy most people.
The thing I love most about the car is the looks, it turns heads wherever I got and looks like it cost much more than it does. Throw in great practicallity (for a coupe) and a comfortable ride, and its just perfect.
Performance is reasonable - its swift enough, my only gripe is the fuel consumption, although its not bad it does drink a little even on commutes on the motorway. Overall very impressed and happy with the car.
Having owned three consecutive BMW 5 series, I was about to order my 4th when I got the chance to drive a 407 COUPE 2.7 V6 HDI GT, I was utterly blown away with the looks, build quality and driving dynamics of this superb coupe. If you try one of these and are still foolish enough to want to spend up to £15,000 more to get similar specification on a BMW, just to have that blue and white badge on the bonnet, then you are a bigger fool than I almost was. I've had the car 4 months, done 6,500 miles averaging 38.5 miles per gallon, the car has not put a foot wrong, no faults and as it is as rare as a tax rebate from the inland revenue, people still look and stare at its sexy lines. By the way, the £15,000 I saved bought the wife a new car, so she isn't wanting to drive my 407 coupe, RESULT!!!!!!!!
Owned for a month and have to say this is a superb piece of machinery. The diesel engine is an absolute cracker - doesn't sound like someone shaking a bag of spanners when you start her up. The performance is tremendous for a 2 ton car and the gearbox is just so smooth and 330lb/ft of torque is real fun!!!! Equipment levels and trim are second to none, easily on a par with Merc and BMW. Fuel consumption after about 1500 miles is a very reasonable at 37mpg. If you are looking for a car that is well built, goes like a dream and seems to be rarer than rocking horse you know what then go buy one - you will not be disappointed.
The car is a real head turner and beautiful to drive. The doors are somewhat heavy but that is a minor point. I love all the gizmos; from the automatic closing of the windows when you lock the doors to the excellent talking sat nav system. I have an integral telephone and that is I think the best thing in the car. I need it for business as I drive around quite a lot. I have owned it for 6 months and nothing has gone wrong; yet!.
Order a brochure, find your nearest dealer or book a test drive
I once owned an 04 GT (the version with the stupidly heavy clutch - a built in gym for your left leg). I've driven both editions since and must say…
I bought my TT 2 years ago, second hand (99 model)with 40k on the clock. Since then it has done 40 more. Service costs have been £250 a time. Timing…
