A very good looking car with sensible, rather then over-the-top electronic aids such as auto headlamps and wipers. We have a 2.0-litre base specification model in replacement for a new Renault Laguna 2 litre petrol turbo. It has to be said that the interior quality far surpasses that of the Renault.
We will have this car for another couple of months which should show up any niggles, but as the car has now done over 5000 miles, none have been reported.
So far the car seems to have a bit of a thirst in comparison to other similar vehicles (Mazda 6 for example). However further running is required to confirm this.
Overall, it is a very popular car amongst our current fleet.
THIS IS NO HIGH PERFORMANCE CAR HOWEVER THIS VEHICLE IS EVERYTHING AND MORE FOR THE FAMILY
IT LOOKS GREAT AND THE OVERALL BUILD QUALITY IS BETTER THAN ITS RIVALS
A LOT HAS BEEN SAID ABOUT THE LAYOUT OF THE CENTRE CONSOLE, WHICH AT A GLANCE CAN BE CONFUSING, BUT IN GENERAL THERE ARE ONLY HALF A DOZEN BUTTONS THAT ARE REALLY NEEDED ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS AND IS QUICKLY ORIENTATED
THE REMOTE STEREO CONTROL IS QUICKLY MASTERED ALSO. I MANAGED TO GET A RIGHT HAND DRIVE MADE FOR OVERSEAS AND THE BASE SPEC IS IS ENHANCED BY ALLOYS AND REAR ELECTRIC WINDOWS. IT HAS TO BE SAID THAT I FOUND THE WHEEL TRIMS ON THE UK SPEC CHEAPENED THE CAR SO ALLOYS ARE A MUST.
WELL DONE PEUGEOT ON A GREAT FEEL GOOD CAR WITH HEADTURNABILITY, NOT MANY FAMILY CARS DO THAT
I test drove this car as a replacement for my 3.0-litre 406. The car is great in many ways but is let down badly by not having a manual gearbox option.
The model I have is the SE with LUX Pack. It has now completed 3500 miles without any problems at all. Compared to my 307 D Turbo, it is far superior in every possible way. The gearbox in particular (6-speed) is a tremendous improvement. Any recommendation I would offer would only be with the 136hp version. My local dealer has been absolutely first class with support and customer care at the top of his priorities.

Had this car for 90k from new. A 56 plate. In over 2,000,000 miles driven this one has broken down the most of any car I have had. DO NOT get a 2.0…
