    My car

    I bought this car 6 months ago which I use a taxi. I think this is one of the best large MPVs available, although mine hasn't been without its problems. The auto gearbox was replaced before the car had done 25,000 miles. But in all fairness to Peugeot UK, this was replaced under warranty.

    The car spends most of its life in city traffic, so far averaging 22.9 mpg. Service bills are more expensive than expected, although parts are fairly well priced even at a main dealer.

    Handling and ride are excellent for an MPV. It has a well designed interior, and the engine is very well refined but could do with at least another 20 bhp. The auto box isn't the best that i've encountered, either.

    Overall, I would recommend the 807, a vast improvement over the 806.

    My car

    These 807's are a complete nightmare.

    Our first one had lots of problems that ended with the electric sliding door opening at 70 MPH with my 6 year old sitting next to it. I refused to take the vehicle back and apparently there is a mod kit to stop this from happening, this means in is a know fault and on a family vehicle why no recall from Peugeot?

    They swapped this for a demonstrator (I should of P/EX the car then but didn't), the new one was worse and eats tyres in 10,000 miles. I ordered a suspension check after the 3rd warranty claim for knocking, Peugeot wouldn't do this under warranty as they obviously feel multiple suspension failures and tyre wear like that is normal and acceptable. Well that was the beginning of July and almost 5 months later still no working 807.

    Worse still my family of 6 is in a 5 seat 206 "courtesy" car and the last test we got from Peugeot shows different before and after figure for the rear suspension. All the other tests are identical before and after because there is no adjustment, therefore Peugeot are either falsifying test data or trying to bodge my rear suspension because in nearly 5 months they clearly can't fix it properly.

    My car

    I bought an 02-reg car with 22,000 miles. It went back within the first week, as the rear washers were pouring water into the cabin and the sliding door would not shut.

    Then, at about 30,000 miles, the ESP kept coming on putting car into limp-home mode, so there was no power whatsoever, and the reversing bulbs got so hot they melted the lenses. Also, the turbo relay melted under the bonnet.

    The local dealer fixed the reverse problem and turbo relay, and the ESP was put down to the turbo sensors having blown, so I had them changed. The car went back another five times for the same problem.

    They state that the turbo has blown, so still four weeks later I am awaiting the car back and the bill for these repairs.

    I spoke to Peugeot - they were useless, because they just kept saying the car was out of warranty.

    I would not recommend this car to anyone due to the electrical problems and no-one being able to fix it properly.

    My car

    Bought ours pre-registered 18 months ago and 30000+ miles later there have been no major problems - touch wood! There have been a couple of minor niggles like excessive tyre wear (my fault for not getting them aligned) and the sliding door handles beginning to 'peel', but nothing that would put me off buying another 807.

    Easy to drive with a great driving position. Although definitely not a sports car, there is enough power for 'nipping' about town and more than enough for easy motorway cruising with a full load - it also has a lifetime MPG of 34 (probably 55/45 town and motorway driving) which I am pretty happy with considering its size.

    With 2 young children, the space and seat versatility is fantastic, and so far, the interior trim has withstood the best that they can throw at it - literally! By the way, I never realised how useful it is to have sliding rear doors, especially when prising children from their seats when parked on ferries and in car parks!

    Overall, very happy with the 807, with a few minor niggles thrown in just to show that nothing in life is perfect!
