I previously gave a review upon first acquiring my new Partner. But feel I must return to argue that the What Car? review is unreasonably harsh and could unfairly put people off owning one of these marvellous workhorses.
Even Peugeot aren't supporting it as it is notably absent from their new publicity mailshot. All you need to be totally satisfied with this vehicle is sufficient maturity and confidence to drive something whose looks would be considered 'uncool' by those less sensible.
It's their loss and they are missing a bargain because they want to spend a lot of money on a trophy car.
I am glad to see that most reviewers totally agree with me. Enjoy!
I part-exchanged my 2.0-litre diesel Escapade for a Nissan X-Trial 2.2 dCi Sport.
It keeps blowing turbos (a known problem with these models, which I didn't learn of until after I'd bought it), and no additional warranty is given over the normal one which expires in May 2008.
I am going back to an Escapade - a 1.6 diesel this time. The only problem I had with the Escapade was a broken gear linkage.
I traded in my Vauxhall Meriva 1.8 Design for a new 1.6 HDi Peugeot Partner Escapade at the end of March 2007.
The Peugeot is much more comfortable on the road and with its high suspension, visiblity is much better than the Vauxhall. The 1.6 HDi turbo diesel is remarkably powerful and provides quick acceleration for overtaking even in fifth gear.
Long journeys are a pleasure with the optional extra of air-conditioning and overall it is a thoroughly practical and pleasant vehicle to drive.
what an absolute joke this is
i have had nothing but problems with my 03 plate quicksilver model!
quite frankly i would rather get the bus to be honest as this is a major disappointment.
the interior is cheap and tacky and there is nothin nbut rattle after rattle in this, it is about 0-60 does not apply with this vehicle.
