There's nothing wrong with this car - it offers impressive ride, handling and everything you would expect of a Porsche.
However, be very aware that despite reading all else to the contrary, they are a license to waste money when it comes to trading them in. I recently traded my 15-month-old car in against the new-shape Boxster S and to my horror learned that it had lost 28% of its value.
You're normally cornered into selling at these ridiculously low rates because the dealers can't offer a part-exchange value at the time of ordering your new vehicle as delivery takes months. By the time your new vehicle has arrived you're a sitting duck and are forced to take a massive hit on price. I won't be buying another after this!
I had two years with a TT before I bought a Boxster.
The Porsche is so much better in every way (except equipment levels) that it is almost embarrassing.
The Boxster isn't the fastest car in the world but it sounds fantastic and the handling is sublime.
Running costs are reasonable and build quality is good.
Short of an Elise, this is the most fun you'll get for under £40k - and try running an Elise every day.
Now I just need to start saving up for a 911...

Amazing car, once driven, never forgotton, forget all the pretenders like BMW Z4 and Mercedes SLK, they will never have the passion of a Porsche
I love this car! Handling is great, its fun to drive and even reasonably practical!
