    My car

With the cost of fuel rocketing at the minute, I decided to downsize from my Astra SXi (1.6) to a smaller car. I was worried by the drop in engine size down to a 1.2 but have been pleasantly surprised by the Clio. In the lower gears its quite nippy - even with the extra weight of the new model. Driving on the motorway is not a problem either though overtaking takes a little more consideration!

The build quality of the Clio is apparent from the minute you drive it. The engine is silent, even at high speeds and wind noise is non existent. Economy is not bad though it doesn't quite get the official manufacturers figures.

Trim levels are good, you don't need to break the bank for alloys, CD, tinted windows etc which all come as standard on the Extreme. No air conditioning though but that's not really a problem in Scotland.

Overall, excellent car, great drive and at a good price.

    My car

i'm back(see previous reviews)...now have 1700 miles on the speedo so what do i think........engines loostened up nicely and now quite fast but a touch slower than my previous 04 plate 1.6, obvously due to the extra weght but only slightly...but a noise like a blowing from exhaust near the front made me take to the dealer who compression checked it and said was spot on!STRANGE AS IM NOT IMAGINING IT I KNOW WHAT EXHAUST BLOWING IS!...we shall see but has anyone else had this?except that its a lovely car and nobody yet ive seen has a rear spoiler which makes the back way better(should be standard on dynamique as before).its not even a standard option so mines only one ive seen so im happy.

    My car

WOW!!!!! Its the most improved and impressive car I know!! I know its top of the range, I was, going to get the expression, I got a good deal, and money to spare, so i could upgrade to the top of the range, and i must say, it is fantastic. Economy could be better, but after all, it is petrol, and i think i would now prefer the diesel, although, the 1.6 is pokey, and very refined, i would happily recommend this car to anyone.
