This is an update from my previous review. I have now owned the car for 6 months or so and have driven 7,500 miles in it, including a 1200 mile round trip to France an back.
Overall I am still incredibly pleased with my purchase. I have had no problems with the car - bar one and the interior quality is excellent, there are still no rattles present and everything is holding up well to a lot of use.
I have had one minro problems the glovebox lid unaligns itself leading to the light staying on constantly. I have been back to my dealership twice regarding this issue and have had one new glovebox lid and light set fitted with another set being ordered and rejected by the dealership as they thought that it wouldn't resolve the problem. At present I have a tempoarary solution (i.e glovebox light permenantly switched off) and am waiting for Renault to come up with a solution.
Despite this I am still satisfied with the car and the service.. and would recommend the car to anyone seeking a super mini.
hello again with ref to my other reviews this car is way better than my 04 plate 1.6 16v but is NOWHERE near as fast as the old one(k and n air filter fitted should almost bring it in line lol).10.2 0-60 this one and 9.6 the old one and til u get into 3rd its not as quik by miles u can tell a huge difference.also with ref to the reader with the leaky sunroofs do youself a big big favour never ever get a sunroof with a renault!my old one had the electric roof replaced as it rattled like hell, was a pain and did same again 6 months later so when i ordered this new car...sunroof??no thanks!renault are renowned for poor finishes still in places depite this car being nice
The 106bhp diesel is stunning. I have obtained an ex-demonstration model with 4500 miles on the clock, so it's well run in.
It is a Dynamique S and has practically everything on it, including rear sensors, keyless card entry, a panoramic sunroof, air-conditioning, upgraded stereo and tyre pressure indicator - all for £10,900 with an excellent trade-in on my old 65bhp Clio, bless its sluggish heart.
The car itself is a joy to drive and I am conviced that the new generation diesel engines kick their petrol counterparts into touch every time for refinement and torque.
I loved the car so much I bought it despite the fact that it's black. However, the saving on full retail was the clincher. I've been driving for nearly 40 years and the car makes me feel young again.
get my new 1.6 dynamique s anyday now 06 plate.yes is a new car but i haggled for a better deal as i put on a few extas inc metl paint,esp,6cd changer cabasse unit and auto wipers and lights....and i got 800 quid off so dont be fraid to haggle.i test drove 1 b4 i ordered and its way way ahead build wise and interior quality the rivals for once will be hard to beat including vw but remember only the dynamicque upwards has the soft touch plastics.ill report back once ive done a few miles.if it matches my current clio dynamique + 1.6 16v then ill be happy
