Well finished, good quality materials and finished in black with the Interlagos wheels look stunning - 4 wheel steer really tightens up cornering and improves manouverability at low sppeds, very responsive engine and There's plenty of room for the family and associated kit.
I have previously owned BMWs in the past and reading certain reviews was apprehensive about Renault together with Renault have had bad press in the past; however it looks like they have made massive leaps forward in terms of the build and finish quality, plus the dealer service offered at my local dealership was excellent. Not overly worried about the depreciation and so far the car seems very very good value - Try it. Watch out the competition!!!
having been a satisfied owner of a laguna 2(the only one?),for several years, this model seems like a major step forward.it is well built, well kitted oot, drives nicely. alright the ride can be firm on rough roads(bt try a mercedes a class for a really poor ride.the new laguna handles decently for a largish estate.it is a quiet comfortable cruise, unlike predecessor which had terrible seats. early days, 3months,but nothing fallen off broken or rattles
fuel economy improving with miles, see below, overall a very decent car from renault, and i enjoy it.
I see this as an ordinary driver's opportunity to offset the views of puerile petrol heads. This Sports Tourer (our 6th new Renault and our third Laguna) is a delight. We have never had any trouble with any of our previous Renaults. I am getting almost 44mpg on mixed driving. Its acceleration and power when you need it to overtake is excellent - who cares about meaningless 0-60 statistics? It goes round corners like it is on rails, although we did pay for 18" wheels. I am not sure how much use the swivelling headlamps are, but I can see where I'm going easily and I like the way you can get the lights to turn on automatically as dusk falls. We also like the automated screen wipers. This is the first SatNav system we have owned and find it excellent - the only irritating thing is that I don't seem able to enter an address by post code. Data about fuel consumption, range, tyre pressure, service due dates etc are all available on a separate screen, but it would have been nice to have it all available simultaneously instead of having to scroll through. Whether we were wise to go for creamy leather and trim remains to be seen (the carpets show the dirt somewhat), but it is certainly extremely comfortable and some of us like the heat in the seats! Carrying capacity is all ordinary people could possibly want and we love the way the rear seats just flick down flat at the push of a button. Well, we've said our bit - come on you petrol heads - stop burning the planet up and get a life.
I test drove the Dynamique - it was smooth, quiet, had an excellent finish, and the equipment standard was high.
I cannot comment on running costs but it was doing over 40mpg on mixed motoring. I have looked at the Initiale and this is very highly specced and has every extra that could be required.
It has an excellent finish and can be bought with good discounts. Why pay more for less? I tried the Mondeo dealer who were most unhelpful and the Vauxhall is not as good, so I would certainly consider this.
Of course the likes of Top Gear only rave over BMW's but having owned one I found it was a hard ride very expensive and driving down roads not race tracks wa sno better at inflated prices.
