    My car

    A fine, comfortable car unless you own it more than 30,000 miles or 2 years. Renault service costs are extortionate and many repairs (even tyres/wheels) can only be done by them.

    Alloy wheels must be made of tin foil, as the seemingly slightest of potholes results in a buckled rim and a bill heading for £200. Damage a valve and you are looking at £120.

    I have had a mystery steering wobble for 6 months now, which despite repeated visits Renault insists is tyre balancing (despite 4-5 different balancing centres). If the problem isn't obvious, they are not interested.

    My problems have driven me back to the company car and another manufacturer. I will NOT but Reault again.

    That said, it's a supremely comfortable and pleasant drive, although my 1.8 16v struggled too frequently on big roads. Climate control is a must as the standard air-con is limited and very tempermental

    Company car? - Great Choice

    Private car? - Forget it (or re-mortgage)
