Value for money is what this car's all about. On behalf of my employers I got a 5 year warranty and 3 years/50,000km service package rolled into the price.
I was worried that the 1.6 was going to be under powerered, especially as (with all new Renaults) the A/C gets cut out when you step hard on the gas.
The dual A/C can freeze you on the low setting!
It's fully loaded (although obviously no Auto on a 1.6), very light to drive in traffic, the auto release handbrake is terrific, and cruises effortlessly at 120kmh (75mph), the only drawback is rear headroom but with 15 other cars to choose from it's not a problem for us.
Great car and with new model coming a great buy right now.
I've enjoyed trouble-free motoring. This car offers a good ride and the interior is comfortable (but dash plastics are a bit on the cheap side). The car is spacious inside.
It drives best on the motorway - but it is still good in town.
I would recommend this car.
I had this car, the sport tourer, for four years from new. It was a fabulous cruiser, and very comfortable and economical. It had a few niggles, notably two of the door locks failing, but these were sorted out quickly and efficiently by the local Renault dealer.
I have had three Lagunas - none have experienced the electrical problems for which it is renowned.
Would I have another? Definitely.
We purchased a Laguna 1.9 diesel Privilege estate two years ago.
It was lovely to drive, but after seven months, the turbo blew whilst on the motorway.
We were unable to turn the engine off, the exhaust fumes were black, and we had to rush the kids out and run in case the oncoming traffic smashed into us with all the smoke covering the carriageway.
After paying nearly £2000 to repair the heap, we've had nothing but trouble, and Renault UK didn't even say sorry - they're useless!
Do not get a Laguna for your own safety - even with the keys you cannot trust them to even start. We can't even shift it now - too much work is needed on it.
It's rubbish.

Had this car for 90k from new. A 56 plate. In over 2,000,000 miles driven this one has broken down the most of any car I have had. DO NOT get a 2.0…
