I have owned this car for about 2 years at 50000 miles and since had to change a water pump and sump gasket.
To be fair its being a good car and no electricial problems(so far)but its just hit 73000 miles and hope that the gearbox doesn't break! Handling is average at best but its what you'd expect for a car this heavy, but it is a comfortable ride on motorway cruising.
Overall a ok car,but wouldn't get another renault again.
i have owned my renault laguna now for 9 months and although it is low mileage for a 1998 model drives lovely, the fuel consumption is quite good, the engine is very quiet and souds like new. the only bad thing i would say about it is when you go over road bumps the suspension does not feel very good to cope with it.
My laguna has never had anything wrong with it in the last three years. It has never broken down or had any electrical problems.
I must also say that my Laguna takes 9.6 seconds from 0-60mph, not 11.5 seconds.
I made a mistake, with the last review. It should have been 1.9 dCi Sport Tourer - absolute rubbish.

Owned for 1 year, as family runabout Pros good size, general build quality, powershift gearbox, good to drive, low costs Cons handling slighly…
Had this car for 90k from new. A 56 plate. In over 2,000,000 miles driven this one has broken down the most of any car I have had. DO NOT get a 2.0…
