    My car

I bought my Laguna on its 3rd birthday in October 2011. I needed a new car at the time and wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, so I chose the Laguna as it was close to home, was clean and tidy and extremely good value; I paid under £4500 for it!

Since then I've come to appreciate its quirky looks, fine ride and handling, fuel economy which has been 45.1 during minus temperatures and 51.5 at best (and I wasn't hanging about) and the excellent level of equipment.

Mine is the base 'Expression' trim level with the 2.0dCi 130 engine so it comes with a decent amount of kit as standard. I didn't realise at the time but mine had approximately £2000 worth of options added from new, so it also has front fog lights, auto lights and wipers, cruise control, dark chrome console, dual-zone climate control and best of all integrated Carminat Sat Nav with live traffic, Bluetooth, voice recognition and a 7" widescreen display in the dash - awesome!

Since October I have done over 10000 miles in the car and it has not missed a beat. I have topped up the fluids (including 400ml of oil - not bad!) and that is the only time I lift the bonnet. The car is now showing over 104000 miles and still feels solid and well put-together with no creaks or rattles.

I'd highly recommend one of these to anyone. They are seriously good value on the used market and are a good quality product too. Mine is Eclipse Grey which along with Black and Silver are the best colours in my opinion.

    My car

Only had the car for 4-5 weeks but Im very happy with it. Bought an ex-lease car from auctions so never driven one and I was a little concerned about the small engine. Ive started working in a new location so Im looking at driving 20-25k per year mainly motorway so wanted something that would be good on the motorway and this hasnt disapointed. Obviously it is a small engine however its more then comfortable at motorway speed and round town. Its not fast but it never feels too slow. I cant comment yet on reliability, running cost etc other then the tax is only £95 per year. Its comfortable and decent quality in the cabin. The best thing of all though is the economy on a motorway. We have a local office only 4 miles from home in traffic and I struggle for 40mpg, however stick to 65-70mph on the motorway and get 75mpg, 75-80mpg will achieve around 60-65mpg. The first tank on a mixture of driving I got around 730 miles from it which averaged around 55mpg. Its just what I was looking for and for £5300 for a 3 year old model with 37k on the clock Im very happy with it.

    My car

I drove this car 800km over a four day period on mixed roads A,B and C roads in i Ireland and i loved it. With only 110bhp this babe has plenty of pace and can comfortably cruise at 190kph on motorways and has nice big brakes to match. Over the 800km it averaged 7.2km/l and i did thrash it around. I thought it was good through the corners with very little body roll. It took a little time to get used to the diesel engine and overtaking required a little planning as you couldn't just drop a gear and blast past other cars. The suspension was fine and i drove on some really awful roads there was no banging or fear of bits falling off although i did wonder how it would feel after 30 or 40 thousand miles under its belt.

I loved the interior half leather seats and soft plastics. It had real french style. I'd recently driven a 07 mkII Laguna and this really was a rubbish/ toilet/ bog roll and i swore all French cars must be like that but having driven this model i'd definately think of buying one.

    My car

I regret that new Laguna got only three stars in your review. I can't see any reasons for that.

It is a really fantastic car; first class interior quality (better than in new Mondeo, Passat and Alfa 159; that is the major reason I have bought Laguna III and not some other car from the list mentioned above), kingdom of silence inside the cabin, impressive engine, very comfortable driving.

I drive every day 120 km, going to work and back home, and my average consumption is 6,2 l/100 km. I don't know any other car doing that with 150 HP.

The only remark that I have so far is that passenger sitting behind the driver doesn't have enough space for his feet, and if he is taller than 185 cm then his head may touch the rear roof of the cabin.
