    My car

I have owned this car since feb 07 which is the 2004 model and have had major problems with this car overall. DO NOT BUT THESE CARS, THERE IS MAJOR FAULTS AND PROBLEMS WITH THIS TYPE OF CAR AND I THINK THAT RENAULT SHOULD STOP SELLING IT!! Where do i start, the roof leaks!!! I have had it fixed by the renault dealership 3 times now and it leaks again after they claim its fixed!! The car has major mechanical problems, the car does not start from time to time, I have called out the AA dozens of times and they cant find no faults with it on there computer. They recommend each time to bring it to the renault dealership which i do. They changed all sensors and associated components along with the spark plugs in the engine which has totalled me to nearly £1000 so far!! The renault dealership customer services is very poor!! Everytime the car has been in the garage, it is normally in the garage for around 3 days to a week at a time!! This is appalling for a car that costs nearly £20,000 Brand New. Car also rattles and makes noise over bumps, uneven road surfaces etc, and there is alot of wind intrusion with the roof up!! I have lost all confidence in the car and Renault as these cars have an obvious fault and problem with it which they are not willing to admit!! I will not be buying a Renault Car again!!! It can cost up to £800 to sort out the leaky roofs dependant on where the leak is!!

    My car

I do love the look of this car and the drive is very comfortable but we have had massive problems with leaking roof. We brought the car only 2 mths ago and it was in renault apparantly being fixed, they said it would take only 5 days but 3 weeks later we finally got it back with no appology and throughout the time it was there we never once received a phone call explaining it would be in there longer. The morning after we got it back we realised it had been leaking all night and all interior was soaked. They should stop selling these cars if they have a massive fault like this.If anyone managed to get compensation out of this can you please let me know as i am now considering it

Same scenario as George Danielczuk, Import and leaking roof. Five times back to Renault Dealer, still leaks. Warranty runs out in 6 months. Has anyone ever had this problem sorted?

    My car

My wifes car, Reg Jul 06, after about 6 months has had a constant problem with a leak between the roof and the 'A' frame above the passenger seat, which is now water marked and the car steams up. Not bought from a Renault dealer as it is an import (not grey). Has been to Main dealer 6+ times under warranty, would have been more but it's an effort to get it there. Has had seals changed 'adjusted' water tested, but soon after it comes home, it leaks again, as if there is a reservoir that fills up then overflows into the car. It's always parked on the flat as recommended. Getting to the end of our patience. Renault UK were OK at first, but as soon as we talk compensation they refer us to who we bought it from and are not really interested. Dealer rarely calls back when required to do so, am waiting for them again now.... I would not recommend this car to anyone, I just don't understand the other reviews that claim to have no leaks, even main dealer admits they have lots to deal with. I would love to hear from anyone who has had this problem and has had it fixed.
