This is a good car for the money. I have had mine for more than one-and-a-half, years and I did almost 24,000km with it with no issues.
1.9DCI privilege with handling pack. This car is a very capable vehicle with a high build quality and has a high level of attention to detail. The engine is very quiet and smooth and has great torque low down the rev range but doesn't get too breathless higher up either. The six-speed gearbox can be a bit fiddly until you get used to it but its great advantage is that when you change up, the engine speed drops right into the power band of maximum torque so even in sixth gear at the higher motorway speeds the engine still provides strong acceleration. The cabin has above-average room and storage for its class and useful "extras that don't cost anything" are included. Storage is well thought out. What a bargain. To summarise, the quality is superb. There are a lot of features in this car which you don't get on more expensive cars. Cheap to run, 53mpg (and i'm no slouch) also cheaper tax. No problems yet (i've put 20k in it since purchase). Only downside is rear suspension which can be jittery on mid-corner potholes and bumps (maybe independent rear suspension next time - Renault please take note! , but otherwise ride and handling is reassuring, comfortable and safe. Lots of safety and security features (brakes are brilliant and the keyless entry is a boon when my hands are full). Brilliant!!!
