bought new 2005 at a good price, apart from needing new fly wheel and two new rear door handles, one stopped working replacememt chipped paint, all work was done under warrenty.the car has given us good family transport, the plastics inside could be better, and after 3 and half years and 20.000 miles things seem ok,fingers crossed all the electrics keep working,as i will have to keep it for a few more years,as the trade in price will be poor. over all 7 out of 10
I have just bought a 3 year old 1.5 Dci Expression diesel automatic Renault Sport Estate, which is a very rare car. I has covered 28,000 miles only, and it cost me £5,900. I have found it very comfortable, roomy, and the automatic gearbox is smooth,AND very economical, returning me,so far,51mpg.
The car seems solid, and well made, and has good Flame Red paintwork, and is almost as cheap to run as my previous Citroen C3 auto diesel, but is much bigger and better made. My wife loves the car so far,and I must say I look forward to driving it,as the Megane handles well, despite only having a 1500 engine. The auto gearbox responds well, and has no "flat spots",unlike the Citroen "sensodrive" box, which sometimes hesitated when overtaking, which can be a bit off putting sometimes! All in all,the Megane,my first Renault, is definitely,in my view, value for money, and I have had 40 years of driving various makes of cars.
I have owned this car for 12 months I got my first puncture opened the boot for the spare and found 3 inch of water has anyone else found this
I have owned this car for over a year from when it was 18months old and although it des not excite it is a brilliant family car, both practical and reasonably cheap to run. I would highly recommend it as a family vehicle. Don't expect it to be something it isn't. It ticks all the boxes when it comes to general family use
