I test drove a Phantom while i had a Maybach 57s on order it is really quiet and whether your doing 30mph or 100mph it feels no different it has big road presence and looks fantastic the, interior is very nice it has lots of footroom and headroom with big soft seats and thick carpets and a unique feature which controls the flying spirit of ectasy if you want it to be shown or have it lowered into the bonnet. Unlike the Maybach it doesnt have a tv/dvd system as standard nor does it have as good picnic tables as the maybach 57. Because of its size parking is hard it is a good car but i would recommend the Maybach.
I've driven the Bentley Flying Spur, and it's good in a big executive German way, but it's got no presence at all.
However, the Roller has. I drove a friend's Phantom which was in blue with cream interior, and it was so amazing. I had a smile on my face where ever I was.
People stared at you going past, and it's got some poke as well. You hit that pedal and you're doing 120mph straight away without any effort.
If you've got the money, don't spend it on a Flying Spur or a Maybach, go for the Roller - it makes all the sense.
Fabulous. But this car is better to be a passenger than a driver. The car is large, and when your driving it, it feels larger than it actually is. The bulky corners don't make parking easy. The fuel economy is bad, but then, this is a big heavy luxury car. The cabin, especially in the back, feels extra special, and just right. Anyone considering buying this car should take a look. But also consider the Maybach 62, and the Mercedes Benz S Class.
