    My car

I had a Rover 45 club for 5 years, I drove this as a company car, doing 106,000 miles in the process. I found the car good to drive, far more comfortable less and problematic than the V W Passat I had before it. Unlike the previous reviewer I found the 2.0 TD to be quite pokey and still with sharpish acceleration at 85 mph. I did have a problem with the air conditioning needing recharging and the mass air flow meter (that's when you'll find any diesel will struggle)needing replacing. Apart from that i found it a super car and feel it's a pity that they are no longer. The average mpg I show is based on figures for fuel bought and miles covered, over a long period,so is genuine; also a mix of town and motorway driving.

    My car

This car is grossly undervalued 2003, all for £1700.on ebay.A very roomy saloon, very comfortable. Upgraded wheels made a tremendous difference to the handling.Got bad press because of its lable.Parts available all over the country.Worth considering, against Ford Mondeo or Vectra.1.8 is the right engine to go for, avoid the diesels, no performance at all. Enormous boot, 2 sets of clubs + electric trolley and still space left

    My car

    I have owned Rovers for the last 20 years, from the 416 x2,420GSI x2 the a 420 tourer. Now I have a 420IXL V reg (99)

All cars have exceeded 170,000 miles except the last which is currently at 200,790 and still running well. I am not a slow driver and have the points to prove it.

I consider the Rovers as excellent value for money and will happily buy another.

    My car

I'm putting this review up as my father has owned two 45s and a 400 prior to that. I drive the car frequently. It was bought with no miles on the clock, having been registered five months earlier.

It is not the car I would have bought BUT it is a very good long term ownership proposition -my father is retired and his mileage is c.6000 pa. - he will probably keep it along time Apart from a duff battery it has been faultless.

The point about the car is that it is very economical and the higher power engine is really quick, whilst being somewhat brutal in its power delivery. It has a large boot and seats 4 in reasonable comfort. It has CD, climate and all round electric windows.

These cars are really cheap used and a lot of garages are doing cheap servicing deals. Insurance is a bit steep but overall this could make a good deal for those on a budget.
