    My car

I own a 2002 model Rover 75 CDTi Connoiseur saloon, it is simple the best car I've ever owned and I've had over 40!

The ride on the 75 is silky smooth, performance and handling good, fuel economy excellent, build quality superb and the interior a work of art. It looks and feels like a car that costs twice as much.

On entering the car you are faced by a beautiful wooden dash that gives the car a feel of real opulence, the fully electronically adjustable seat and reach- and rake-adjustable steering wheel ensure a near-perfect driving position can be found.

The engine is a little noisy on start up, but soon quitens down and is very responsive - the 221ft lb of torque making its presece felt.

Bumps are smoothed out by the magic carpet ride and the car, although not as keen as some, corners well enough. Progress is hushed with only wind noise being slightly intrusive.

I think the 75 is very pleasing on the eye and it reminds me of cars from the 1950s and 1960s but with very modern touches and underpinnings.

I would confidently recomend the 75 to anyone. My only worry is when I have to replace mine - the new nose job is not to my taste. Still my 75 is so well put together it should last years and years.

Well done Rover you have made a British car to be proud of.
