USED Saab 9-3 Saloon (02 - 12)

My car

After 10 momths and 35,000 miles the car is now nicely bedded in , everything works fine , and still on the original set of tyres so i'm not sure how some people are only getting 12,000 miles out of a set .

The 18,000 mile interval between services is far better than the 10,000 miles on the Avensis......

Cabin comfort is great and the seats are some of the best i've had. However rear leg room is a bit tight but as i don't often have rear passengers it's no real problem.

Dash layout is great but i do miss the rain sensing wipers.

Handling / ride is great , takes corners as if it's on rails even rough roads are handled with ease.

Would i have another.... sure would , mind you after 4 years it will probably have 170,000 on the clock so i might just need to look at a something else .

My car

I bought car on looks mainly as i think it stands out withouth lookin "german" I commute 130 miles a day and as much as i would like the 2.0t or even 1.8t i did some checkin and along with the tdi i keept hearing the same storys of "limp home mode" or blown turbos! so went for 1.8i in vector trim, i know its only 122hp but is a very light engine,and pulls v well! also i get 40-44 mpg!!low insurance,and as its basicly a vaxhall engine cheaper parts. the trim and dash rattles are v anoying and on a "premium" car is not exceptable. not sure if i buy another one but having done 42000 miles in 18 months and nothing gone wrong its tempting if only for those wonderfull seats!!!

My car

After reading some of the reviews on other similar 93 models, I am now fearful of replacing my current 1.8t which has done 70,000 miles on Irish roads. I have had the car since December 2002. At 4 years old and beyond, wecars undergo a National Car Test(NCT). For the first one, all I had to do was buy three new tyres and give it a wash. For the second, I bought four new tyres and gave it a wash.

The reliability has been uncanny, all I do is put in petrol and have it serviced at the correfct interval, or once a year, whichever is first. Given the age, I no longer feel bound to take it to a SAAB dealership and have a local mechanic do the work instead.

I have been known to drive quickly, and I am impressed with the car's acceleration, braking and general handling. The 150 BHP model may not be as fast as some expect, but you have to bear in mind power to weight ratios.

My car

I wanted a Saab 93 for a few years now but they were a little out of my budget, however, when they came down in price i brought one in August 2008 in Metallic Black just the one i wanted. I have to say it was really disappointing and my previous Mazda 6 (2.0 TD) was far supreior in very aspect.

I have to give it to the Saab for its looks but for me it ends there as the ride qulality is terrible and you feel every tiny bump in the road. Although the interior looks pleasing it is real poor quality as the rubber bits start peeling off for no reason. Poor fuel consumption is also an issue as i was only getting 350 miles from a full tank.

I sold this car and i can honestly say that i wont buy a SAAB again!!
